I Will Go and Do

After finishing our first book in the Book of Mormon, I kept asking myself over and over again if I was a Nephi or a Laman and Lemuel. That has caused me to do some deep reflection of my attitude and my willingness to do those thing that the Lord asks me to do. Nephi's desire to do all he could to be obedient was something that made him more spiritually strong and able to withstand the trial and temptation that he faced. Why was Nephi so different than his brother's. In 1 Nephi 17:45, they did not remember the Lord, ye were past feeling..." So Nephi when given an assignment by the Lord or by his parents he chose to remember the Lord and was faithful. When we decide we are going to do all the Lord asks us to do willingly knowing that the Lord will provide for us a way that allows us to live freely and with joy knowing all is taken care of by the Lord. Let's be obedient like Nephi and go and do what the Lord ask us with no mururing and be valient like Nephi.

This week we will be studying in 2 Nephi chapter 3-10.
